Biography

Dr. Xiaoyan Jiang has received her MD from Shanghai Second Medical University, Shanghai, China and a PhD Molecular Biology from McGill University, Montreal, Canada. Currently, she is working as a Senior Scientist in the Terry Fox Laboratory of the BC Cancer Agency, as Associate Professor in the Department of Medical Genetics and as an Associate Member in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia. She is also an Adjunct Professor at the Shanghai Institute of Medical Genetics of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. She is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals including The Open Hematology Journal, The Open Tissue Engineering Regenerative Medicine, Stem Cell Review Letters, Open Journal of Hematology and Open Journal of Oncology. She has authored more than 50 research articles and books She has been a member of American Society of Hematology and International Society of Experimental Hematology since 1998. She was honored by Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research Scholar in 2005.
