Xin Yang is presently working as an associate professor in the School of Environmental Science and Engineering at Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China. She got ph.D degree from the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology in 2007 and had post-doctoral experiences at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA. Her research focuses on the safety of drinking water, especially about the investigation of formation mechanisms and control strategy of disinfection byproducts and the occurrence and transformation of micro-organic pollutants in the aqueous environment. She is also interested in the physical-chemical water treatment processes, including disinfection and advanced oxidation.
