Biography

Dr. Yang Zhang received his PhD in applied mathematics from the University of Western Ontario, Canada, in 2004. Currently he is working in Department of Mathematics at the University of Manitoba, Canada, as an assistant professor (tenure-track). He is a hold of the Canadian equivalent of an NSF grant "NESRC Discovery Grants-Individual"(2010-2014).

Research Interest

His research interests include computer algebra (symbolic computation), efficient algorithms for matrices, polynomials and differential operators, Groebner bases, solving differential equations, Mathematical software and applications.
