Key Laboratory of Arrhythmias, Ministry of Education, China
Prof. YiHan Chen an outstanding cardiologist in China has become a pioneer in exploring the genetic bases of cardiac arrhythmias. In 2003, he identified a KCNQ1 mutation responsible for familial atrial fibrillation. In 2010, he confirmed that Kir34 was associated with congenital long QT syndrome. His original contributions have been published in the journals such as Science. Now, he also extends his research interest into the molecular mechanisms and novel intervention strategies of cardiovascular diseases including cardiac arrhythmias heart failures and congenital heart diseases.
