Biography

Ying Tan is with Department of Machine Intelligence, Peking University, CHINA. He earned his Ph.D. at Southeast University, Nanjing, China. Now he is a full professor and Ph.D. advisor at Peking University, and director of Computational Intelligence Laboratory at Peking University. He has published more than 200 Reviewed papers, and he was author of 4 book chapters. He has been teaching experience of more than 23 years. He was a senior member in IEEE, ACM and CIE. He served as a reviewer of peer-reviewed journals in the area of computational intelligence, pattern recognition and bioinformatics. He organized international conference on swarm intelligence as general chair, and international symposium on neural networks as program chair. He received many awards like 2009 National Natural Science Award, Distinguished Lecture Award.
