Dr. Ying-Yong Zhao (PhD, MD) is professor at Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine, The School of Life Sciences, Northwest University in China. He is a reviewer of more than 20 famous international journals, including Clinica Chimica Acta, Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology; Analyst, Biomedical chromatography, Disease Markers, Natural Products Research, Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines and Bioanalysis in the area of phytochemistry, phytochemical analysis, pharmacology, pharmacokinetics and metabolomics studies. He serves as editorial board member including Journal of Nephrology and Urology Research, International Journal of Therapeutic Applications, Innovations in Pharmacy Planet, etc. Zhao has authored more than 90 peer-reviewed publications and three books. He received several awards including National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Nomination Award and New Century Excellent Talents in University from Ministry of Education of China, The Pharmaceutical Society of China Award for Young Scientists in 2012 (Sanofi Young biological drugs Award), The Pharmacological Society of China Award for Young Scientists in 2011 (Fifteenth SERVIER Youth Pharmacology Award) and The Ninth Youth S&T Awards of Shaanxi in 2012. His areas of expertise include structural elucidation of chemical components, phytochemical components analysis, pharmacology, pharmacokinetics and metabolomics from natural medicine. His work is mainly focus on pharmacology, pharmacokinetic and metabolomics study of chronic kidney disease and therapeutic effects of natural medicine.
