Biography

Yu Chen received Bachelor of Science (1997), Department of Physics from Peking University, Beijing, China; Master of Science in Engineering (2001) and Doctor of Philosophy (2003), Department of Bioengineering from University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA. He was Postdoctoral Research Fellow (2003-2006) with Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, USA and Associate Research Officer (2005-Present) with NINT, National Research Council, Edmonton, Alberta. His awards include Excellent Student Award, Peking University, China (1993-1995), Poster Award, 28th Annual Northeast Bioengineering Conference, IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (2002). He has authored about publications in high ranked journals and extensive citations include 8 chapters in books, 40 articles in refereed journals , 46 invited presentations, 77 refereed presentations, 29 editorial and reviewing activities for journals.
