Biography

Zhanlong Shen is vice director of Laboratory of Surgical Oncology, associated professor of Department of Gastroenterological Surgery, Peking University People's Hospital, vice general secretary &committee member of CSMDT (Chinese Society of MDT), member of ESCP (European Society for European Society of Coloproctology), member of EACR (European Association of Cancer Research), committee member of Chinese Research Hospital Association (CRHA),committee member of CSMIS (Chinese Society of Minimally Invasive Surgery ),committee member of Chinese CGOS ( Geriatric Oncology Society). He work as the postdoctor at University of Helsinki from 2010~2011, as international fellow in Seoul St. Mary's Hospital from April of 2012 to July of 2012, got the surgical training of complete mesoclonic excision(CME) training in Nuremberg-Erlangen University hospital, Germany in 2011, got the transanal TME(taTME) training in Florida hospital of Orlando, United States in 2014. In clinical research, he focuses on the quality control surgery such as CME, ELAPE, taTME. In basic research, he focuses on the mechanism of invasion and metastasis of gastrointestinal cancer, such as epigenetics, tumor microenvironment, proteomics.

Gastrectomy for gastric cancer with D2 lymphdenectomy
Basic scientific research in colorectal cancer and gastric cancer (including: tumor microenviroment, Epigenitics, the mechanism of tumor invasion and metastasis)
