Zhenzhou Cheng

Dr. Zhenzhou Cheng is currently an assistant professor of physical chemistry in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Tokyo. He received his B.S. degree in physics and M.S. degree in optics from Nankai University, China, in 2006 and 2009, respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2013. He was awarded the Postgraduate Research Output Award and the Young Scholar Thesis Award from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the Young Scientist Award from Hong Kong Institute of Science in 2013. He joined the Goda Lab in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Tokyo as an assistant professor in 2015. His research focuses on graphene and silicon photonics for sensing, spectroscopy and optical communications.
