Biography

H.Ziya Ozek is a Professor in the Department of Textile Engineering, University of Namik Kemal in Turkey. He was graduated from the Uludag University of Bursa, Turkey as a textile engineer. He received his MSc and PhD from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology in U.K. He has also a work experience of textile industry for almost 10 years. He worked as technical manager and consultant for various Turkish companies. He also served as president of the Turkish Chamber of Textile Engineers of TMMOB for two successive terms. Professor Ozek has extensive expertise in weaving technology. His research interests are in the areas of fabric technology, functional textiles, weaving, sustainability in textiles and new product development. He has conducted various academic and industrial reserch projects in these areas.
