Surgical pathology deals with macroscopic and microscopic examination of surgical specimens for effective diagnosis of disease. Surgical specimens are of two categories, biopsies, and surgical resections. Surgical pathology also includes subdivisions such as dermatopathology, cytopathology, hematopathology, neuropathology and pediatric pathology.
This peer-reviewed journal includes macroscopic and histologic examinations and biopsies studies. Articles on immunohistochemistry, cytopathology techniques, molecular diagnostics such as DNA/ RNA analysis for detection of infectious agents and discussion on advanced surgical treatments are also welcome.
