The ever booming field of science now is proteomics, which deals with the identification of proteins, its structure, function and characterization. A single gene can produce multiple variants of proteins with the process involved like alternative splicing or post-translational modifications. Thus with the study of proteins have added advantage in the field of biology to understand the disease, its way to treat and to understand the cellular processes. Proteomics study is not limited to humans, the proteome of plant, animals and microbes are also now studied. The study of proteome of plants has helped to know the underlying mechanism of plant’s flowering, plant hormone etc. The target of quantitative proteomics is to verify quantitative data in the vicinity of a specific protein test. In spite of the fact that qualitative furnish bits of knowledge that are of quality, quantitative datasets give a bigger comprehension. Quantitative proteomics is a cell method that is dependent upon the utilization of mass spectrometry. Such quantitative strategy empowers the location of quantitative changes in proteins and their post-translational alterations in organic frameworks.
