When an organ pushes through a muscle opening or tissue opening, it holds in place causing a condition called as Hernia. An example of hernia is that, the intestines which may break through a weaker are in the wall of abdomen. These hernias occur mostly in the area of abdomen between your chest and hips. They may also appear in other body parts such as upper thigh and groin areas. Generally hernias are not immediately life threatening, but they are not cured on their own. They may require surgery to prevent complications which are considered to be dangerous to humans.
