Amenorrhea Review Articles
Absence of menstruation i.e, one or more pass over menstrual periods is amenorrhea. Women who misses at minimum three menstrual periods in a row tend to have amenorrhea. The girls who doesn't begin period by age 15 also have amenorrhea. The major cause of amenorrhea is pregnancy. The other causes may be either reproductive organs problems or problems with the glands that help in regulating the levels of hormones. The symptoms for amenorrhea includes Headache, milky nipple release, hair loss,surplus facial hair, acne, pelvic pain etc. The treatment methods depends on the underlying cause of amenorrhea. In few cases contraceptive pills or hormone therapy may restart the period cycles. If amenorrhea is caused due to thyroid or pitutary disorders then this can be serve by medications. Surgery may be the treatment option if tumor is causing the problem. Review article comes in the form of systematic analysis and literature reviews and are a form of secondary literature. Systematic reviews determine an objective list of basis, and find all previously published original research papers that meet the criteria. They then compare the results presented in these papers. Literature reviews, by contrast, provide a summary of what the authors believe are the best and most relevant prior publications.
