Arterial Stiffness Scholarly Peer-review Journal

Arterial stiffness describes the rigidity of the arterial wall. As it is mainly resolved by structural components of the arterial wall, elastin and collagen in particular, vascular smooth muscle tone, and transmural distending pressure.It indicates two major terms - arteriosclerosis and atheromatosis. These are generally combined to atherosclerosis. Arteriosclerosis is a generalized thickening and stiffening of the arterial wall and is related to high blood pressure or hypertensio n.
