An illness that is caused by bacteria is called as bacterial disease. Pnuemonia and tuberculosis are said to be most dangerous diseases as they cause many deaths over centuries. Main reason for this is the bacterial strains developed resistance to drugs which are useful in treatment of these diseases. Other bacterial diseases include cholera, tetanus, syphilis, diphtheria etc. Bacteria may cause disease either through secretion or excretion of toxins.
