Biochemistry emphasis on the study of chemical processes occurring within the living organisms. It is the branch of science that helps to explore the varied chemical processes occurring within and associated with the living matter and studies these mechanisms by using chemical knowledge and techniques to know and solve biological problems. Biochemistry deals with the structures, functions and interactions of biological macromolecules, like proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates and lipids, which give the structure of cells and perform many of the functions associated with life.
