Carcinogenesis is the term used to describe the process by which a normal cell is converted to cancer cell. This is a slow and continues process which is raised due to continues mutations by different agents. A cancerous cell has the property to replicate in an uncontrolled manner and its apoptosis mechanism is suppressed, hence resulting in continues growth. Extensive studies has been carried out to deduced the actual suppression in the apoptosis mechanism and has been found that, the all the pathway that will result in apoptosis has been suppressed. Thus contributing to evasion on apoptosis. Hence scientists as devised anticancer drugs that targets the cells and induces apoptosis. These new classes of anti- cancer drugs are used in cancer treatment.
