Dermatology

Dermatology is the skin-dealing branch of medicine. It is a specialty in both medical and surgical aspects. A dermatologist is a specialist doctor who treats skin , hair and nail related diseases and certain cosmetic problems. Dermatologists were pioneers in the cosmetic surgery field. Some dermatologists complete Surgical Dermatology Fellowships. Many are qualified on using botulinum toxin, fillers, and laser surgery during their residency. Some dermatologists perform cosmetic procedures that include liposuction, blepharoplasty, and face lifts. A dermatolopathologist is a skin pathologist or dermatologist who specializes in skin disease. Dermatologists and pathologists partake in this field. A dermatologist or pathologist must normally complete a year of fellowship in dermatopathology. It normally covers general pathology for six months, and dermatopathology for six months.
