Fed Batch Processes Impact Factor

Fed-batch culture is, in the broadest sense, described as an operational technique associated with nursing in biotechnology processes wherever one or many nutrients are introduced into the bioreactor throughout the culture and in which the product remains in the bioreactor to the top of the bioreactor, it is also called semi-discontinuous culture. In some cases, all the nutrients are introduced into the bioreactor. The advantage of fed-batch culture is to manage the concentration of substrate nourished in the culture fluid at desired levels without discrimination - batch culture is, in the broadest sense, defined as an operational technique in biotechnological processes where one or more nutrients (substrates) are introduced (supplied) to the bioreactor during culture and in which the product or products remain in the bioreactor until the [1] Another description of the method is that of a culture da ns which "a basic medium supports the initial cell culture and a feeding medium is added to prevent depletion of nutrients". [2] It is also a type of semi-discontinuous culture. In some cases, all the nutrients are introduced into the bioreactor. The advantage of fed-batch culture is that the concentration of the fed substrate in the culture liquid can be controlled at arbitrarily desired levels (in many cases, at low levels). Generally, batch culture is superior to conventional batch culture when controlling the concentrations of a nutrient (or nutrients) affects the yield or productivity of the desired metabolite.
