Different classes of immunotherapeutic agents have been developed such as Monoclonal antibodies, Fusion proteins, soluble cytokine receptors, Recombinant cytokines, Cellular therapies. Immunotherapy involves the treatment of disease by activating or suppressing the immune system. Immunotherapies designed to induce an immune response are called as activation immunotherapies, whereas immunotherapies that reduce are classified as suppression immunotherapies. In recent years, immunotherapy has become of great interest to researchers, clinicians and pharmaceutical companies, particularly in the treatment of various forms of cancer.
