Microalgae have been scrutinized for their bioactive compounds with promising applications encompassing antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and antialgal activities. Prescription the stage status of widely used prescription therapies and their limitations to tackle their adverse effects, the application of bioactive compounds derived from algae will prove beneficial and much more effective as compared with traditional prescription methods. Due to the emerging infectious diseases, viral infections (epidemic and pandemic), and raise in antibiotic-resistant bacteria, there is an urgent need for the development of alternative treatment therapies against infectious diseases. The instant work contributes a brief introduction about the algal bioactive compounds and their activities against various pathogens. A journal is a quarterly publication intended to further progress of science, usually by reporting new research. Most journals are highly specialized, although some of the oldest journals publish articles, reviews, editorials, short communications, letters, and scientific papers across a wide range of scientific fields. Journals contain articles that peer-reviewed, in an attempt to ensure that articles meet the journal's standards of quality and scientific validity. Each such journal article becomes part of the permanent scientific record.
