A prescription drug (also a prescription drug or a prescription drug) is a pharmaceutical drug that legally requires a medical prescription. However, over-the-counter medications can be obtained without a prescription. The reason for this difference in substance control is the potential extent of abuse, from drug abuse to the practice of medicine without a license and without sufficient training. Different jurisdictions have different definitions of what constitutes a prescription drug.
