Nanotechnology is the atomic, molecular, and supramolecular manipulation of matter. Nanotechnology is referred to the specific technological objective of precisely manipulating atoms and molecules for the manufacture of macroscale products, now also referred to as molecular nanotechnology. Nanotechnology can be otherwise defined as the manipulation of matter with at least one dimension sized from 1 to 100 nanometers, subsequently established a more generalized description of nanotechnology. This definition reflects the fact that at this quantity-realm scale, quantum mechanical effects are significant, and so the concept shifted from a specific technical target to a research category that encompasses all forms of research and technologies dealing with the special properties of matter that occur below the specified size threshold. The Nanoscale technologies referring to the wide range of research and applications whose common feature is size.
