Description

Firstly I want to thanks to Journal of Pharmacognosy and Natural Products for giving me this opportunity to write some word for you and explain the peoples what the pharamacognosy really means. In this editorial note, I will also tell you about the importance of natural products and upcoming future role of herbal plants medicines. The identification, physicochemical characterization, production, extraction, preparation, quality control and biological evaluation of drugs are involved in pharmacognosy. The bioactive chemical can be isolated using a plant leaf, flower, root, animal or plant extract. A medicinal preparation is called any plant preparation that is used for health purposes rather than merely for nutritional supplementation or to add flavor to food. Coffeine, salicylic acid, and some chemotherapeutic, inotropic, and anti-gout agents are some examples of such substances. Pharmacognosy is used to screen, characterize and develop new medicines for the treatment of human diseases by pharmaceutical companies.

Pharmacognosy & Natural Products Journal (ISSN: 2472-0992) is an open access journal which after rigorous peer review, publishes manuscripts. The aim of this journal is to provide comprehensive knowledge of medicinal substances or drug molecules obtained from natural sources. Panel discussions and conferences related to natural medicinal substances and pharmacognosis are also arranged. The Open Access Journal is a forum where all publications are planned online with a quick review process and can be read free of charge by everyone in the world. The main objective of this journal is to ensure the consistency of data obtained from plant resources on novel medicinal drug products. It is committed to solving problems that threaten the value-added goods and their plant-related tools of both educators, academic scholars, entrepreneurs and scientists.

A total of 25 papers were received by this journal during the calendar year 2020, of which few papers were rejected in the preliminary screening because of plagiarism or being out of the format and peer review process. Other remaining preqc selected papers which are written by the writers around the world are published in Volume 1-4. We have also written press releases on particular issues related to the scope of the journal and to the members of the Editorial Board. A perfect way to meet many science personalities is through social media. Social networking helps people to communicate openly with others and provides many means of promoting our journal. For the published article, we aim to boost readers on different social media sites such as Twitter, Linked in by tweets, etc.

There is a few steps for publishing the good quality articles. The manuscripts which we receive are firstly go through the Preqc. Those manuscripts which get accepted in Preqc are the pass through the quality check process whose time period is of 21 days. Running average time has been further reduced to 40-45 days for a post. The manuscript is to be published within 7 days of its authorisation. It's a wonderful chance for me to be part of this fabulous publication.
