I am pleased to introduce Journal of Lasers, Optics and Photonics (JLOP), multidisciplinary journal that combines physical sciences with material sciences, engineering and technology. The journal encourages the latest developments and innovations for publication on the open access platform as research articles, reviews, case studies, commentaries, short communication and the letters to the editor.

This peer reviewed journal caters to the varied industrial applications, including the Civil, Medical, Electrical, Aeronautical, Communications and Mechanical engineering streams and hence encourages applied research and application oriented challenges and perspectives. This scholarly research journal thus meets the demands of academic institutions, manufacturing industries, practitioners of civil, mechanical, computers, and communication engineering.

I am pleased to announce that, all issues of volume 7 were published online well within the time and the print issues were also brought out and dispatched within 30 days of publishing the issue online during the year of 2020.

Journal of Lasers, Optics & Photonics focuses on all the broader as well as specific areas of research in the fields such as laser optics, optical film coating, infrared rays, fiber optics, optical axis, coherent light radiation, convergence and divergence, laser oscillation and luminance, reflection and refraction, semiconductors, quantum mechanics, electro optics, magneto optics, nanophotonics, non-linier photonics, etc

During the calendar year of 2019, JLOP received a total of  20 manuscript, out of which 20% articles were rejected in the preliminary screening due to plagiarism or being out of the format and peer review process. During 2019 around 10 articles were subjected for publication after they are accepted in the peer review process. In the 3 issues of Volume 6 published during the year 2019, a total of 12 articles were published (at an average of 4 articles per issue) of which, articles were published from authors all around the world. Globally articles have been accessed by the research scientists and also cited.

During the calendar year 2019, a total of two Editors, seven Reviewers joined the board of JOM and contributed their valuable services towards contribution as well as publication of articles, and their valuable reviewer comments will beneficial to publish quality of article in the Journal.

I take this opportunity to acknowledge the contribution of our reviewers for their exceptional support during the open access process and the managing editor during the final editing of articles published and the support, in bringing out issues of JEES in time. I would also like to express my gratitude to all the authors, reviewers, the publisher, the advisory and the editorial board of JCLS, the office bearers for their support in bringing out yet another volume of JCLS and look forward to their unrelenting support to bring out the Volume 9 of JCLS in scheduled time.
