Low-dose computed tomography scans are recommended for high-risk individuals, such as long-term smokers. Surgery is most effective in the early stages of non-small cell lung cancer. High-energy rays target and destroy cancer cells. It can be used as a standalone treatment or in conjunction with surgery and chemotherapy.
