This article aims to provide a comprehensive review of the incidence rates and clinical features of adverse neurological events and stroke-like syndrome, shedding light on their presentation, underlying causes and implications for patient care. Adverse neurological events encompass a broad spectrum of conditions that can result in neurological dysfunction, ranging from transient symptoms to severe neurological deficits.

These events can be caused by diverse etiologies, including mitochondrial disorders, autoimmune encephalitis, epilepsy, vasculitis, and metabolic disturbances. Stroke-like syndrome can present with focal neurological deficits, altered consciousness, seizures, and other neurological abnormalities.
