This syndrome has become increasingly prevalent globally, often linked to lifestyle factors such as poor diet, sedentary behavior, and obesity, presenting significant challenges to public health systems. Understanding MetS is essential not only for individual patient care but also for developing effective prevention and intervention strategies that can alleviate its burden on society. The concept of metabolic syndrome emerged in the late 20th century as researchers recognized that a constellation of risk factors could lead to heightened cardiovascular risk and type 2 diabetes.
