These interruptions, albeit brief, can have significant implications for how individuals perceive and interact with their environment, particularly in dynamic and visually demanding scenarios such as those encountered in virtual environments. Virtual environments, including Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), provide controlled settings to study the impact of transient vision loss on head and eye movements during visual search tasks. Understanding these effects is crucial not only for enhancing our knowledge of human visual processing but also for optimizing the design of VR systems, improving user experience and informing rehabilitation strategies for individuals with visual impairments.
