WHO is bringing the world’s scientists and global health professionals together to accelerate the research and development process, and develop new norms and standards to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic and help care for those affected. The coronavirus outbreak began in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. Known as SARS-CoV-2, the virus has resulted in more than 59.2 million infections and more than 1.4 million deaths till date.

I am pleased to mention that during the year 2020, Virology: Current Research has successfully published its 4th volume and has released 2 issues per year without any delay. More than 25 well eminent professionals throughout the globe were acting as editorial board members for our journal. Over 100 articles were submitted which include research, review articles, case reports, short communications etc. In an average the article acceptance or rejection will be informed to author within 21 to 30 days of initial submission whereas the preliminary quality check result will be acknowledged within 24 to 48 hours of initial submission. Virology: Current Research is an open access peer reviewed journal initiated by Hilaris SRL aims to provide cutting-edge research findings in the field of virology. The journal offers broad coverage to the researchers those who are interested in virology and related fields.

Editorial and Review tracking system was introduced for easy tracking of the manuscript by author, editor as well as publisher. Authors can easily track their manuscript status through the credentials given to author at the time of submission. In 2020 VCRH is strived to acquire quality articles related to Virology topics and also coined a special issue entitled “Coronavirus (COVID-19): The past, present and future”. Submit Special Issue articles online through manuscript submission, review and editorial tracking system for quality and quick review processing at https://www. hilarispublisher.com/virology-current-research/submit-manuscript.html In case of online submission, please select "Special Issue Article" from the dropdown list.
