A descriptive study to assess the knowledge and attitude regarding prevention of child abuse among mothers of fewer than five children in selected from village of Moga, Punjab. The purpose of the present study is to assess the knowledge and attitude regarding prevention of child abuse among mothers of under five children and acquaint them regarding prevention of child abuse by providing information booklet. The objectives of the study were to assess the knowledge and attitude regarding prevention of child abuse among mothers of under five children, to find out the correlation between knowledge and attitude regarding prevention of child abuse among mothers of under five children, to find out the association between knowledge and attitude with selected demographic and to develop and distribute an information booklet regarding prevention of child abuse among mothers of under five children. The review of the study is organized and presented under the three aspects: literature related to prevalence of child abuse, literature related to knowledge regarding prevention of child abuse, literature related to attitude regarding prevention of child abuse. Researcher selected 100 mothers of fewer than five children by using systematic random sampling technique. The major findings shows that maximum mothers of under five children 50 (50%) had average knowledge regarding prevention of child abuse and minimum mothers of under five children 12 (12%) had good knowledge regarding prevention of child abuse. The maximum mothers of under five children 63 (63%) had positive attitude regarding prevention of child abuse and minimum mothers of under five children 37 (37%) had negative attitude regarding prevention of child abuse. There was positive correlation between knowledge and attitude of mothers of under-five regarding prevention of child abuse.
