The offense perpetrated by adolescents is a relevant social phenomenon originated from the relation among multiple psychological, physiological and sociological variables. This study aimed at verifying how the academic productions in psychology are addressing psychosocial aspects after the entry of the Law 12.594/12 (Sinase). A literature review was done from January 2013 to July 2016 in two university databases of the Rio Grande do Sul. The number of adolescents involved in criminal offense are increasing in Rio Grande do Sul state, as demonstrated by overcrowded data of the institution responsible for applying socio-educational measures, 56,6% more than the capacity in the last year. The social problem demands attitude from all areas, especially Psychology and Social Service. The results indicated that the production of scientific papers that analyze individual, psychological and family aspects overlap with those who approach the social aspects, the family has been considered the main factor involved in the development of the offensive behavior, although other studies have demonstrated that environmental factors would be more associated to aggressive behaviors than the individual aspects.
