Abstract :

Marfans syndrome is a multisystem disease. Very few disorders require simultaneous intervention for other noncardiac abnormality with cardiac surgery for these patients. Marfans syndrome commonly affects skeletal, ocular and cardiovascular system. Involvement of gastrointestinal systems is known, but uncommon. Intervention depends upon system involved and severity of symptoms. Special awareness is required in diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal involvement in these patients. We report a rare case of simultaneous surgical repair of ascending aortic aneurysm with bentalls operation and repair type IV hiatal hernia simultaneously.
