The implementation of vaccines in public immunization programs it is a challenge for public health, especially in developing countries, whose health systems lack the structure and organization. In those countries, the challenge is not only to supply health assistance, but to strengthen primary care. Immunization is the most important strategy to improve health indicators. Brazilian Immunization program is one of the most important immunization strategies all over the world, although there?s a municipality in Brazil who had implemented an even more complete calendar of immunization. Vaccines like the hepatitis A vaccine, varicella vaccine, Pneumococcal conjugated 7 and 13-valent vaccines and HPV vaccines were implemented since 2009, resulting in important outcomes. There are several challenges in these implementations, such as HPV vaccination in teens and difficulties in acceptance, as well as the decision to implement the vaccine for hepatitis. In conclusion, much is to be learned in the implementation of vaccines in developing countries, and these shared experiences lead to better public health indicators.
