Abstract :

� Asha Kendra is a vibrant project of Community Development Trust established on 25 Jan. 1984 at village Puntamba, Maharashtra, India. � Asha Kendra is a hospital cum rehabilitation centre spread across 18 acres of land with eco friendly infrastructure surrounded by huge number of trees which breathe pure breeze to cure the patients! � �Asha� means �Hope� & thereby �Asha Kendra� standing for a �Centre of Hope�. � With the character of humanitarian service & ethos, Asha Kendra has evolved & emerged as a ray of hope for millions of patients who are suffering from disabling diseases like stroke & other neuro muscular disorders. � Asha kedra has carved a niche for itself in the field of management & rehabilitation of stroke . It is contributing significantly in promoting Alternative / Holistic health by treating almost 65000 (sixty five thousand) patients per year who come from all across India. Perhaps it is the largest centre in India for rehabilitation of stroke patients with alternative therapies.
