Medical knowledge deals with the preservation of human life, so it is a sacred profession. Ethics in medicine has long been of interest to physicians in Islamic civilization. The purpose of this study is to introduce the examples of a specimen physician and analyzing the real position of physician and patient in the field of human relations from the perspective of some famous Muslim physicians from 3rd to 12th centuries AH. This research using library resources and descriptive-analytical method, introduces ten books of Muslim scholars named Ferdows al-Hikma, Tib al-Rouhani, Al-Moalijat al-Boqratiya, Kamel al-Sina'at al-Tibiya, Adab al-tabib, Qanun, Meftah al-Tib, Zakhirah Khwarazmshahi, Menhaj al-Dukan and Kholasa al-Hikma analyzing the opinions of these physicians as the criteria of a specimen physician. According to Muslim physicians, adherence to professional principles and logical communication with the patient has been the most important characteristics for medicine. In fact, in their moral codes, the dignity of the patient has been central. Medical ethics from their perspective is worthwhile from two individual aspects such as relationship with God, self-confidence, study and social aspects such as giving hope, preserving medical secrets, not to prescribe medication before identifying the pain. The results of the study show Muslim physicians have insisted on adhering to moral principles and the two principles of commitment and expertise have been their common aspects. By researching the texts of traditional medicine and utilization from the scientific achievements and current biotechnology, it is possible to provide more efficient topics and fundamental transformation in this field.
