Abstract :

Artficial Intelligence has captured the attention of the public, of business, and of the academic community, by virtue of its potential to expand knowledge and human performance. However, many AI initiatives do not have access to wellgoverned, properly designed, and clearly defined quality data as the basis for the AI efforts. Therefore, these AI initiatives may not be successful, due to the lack of poor data management. This presentation will address the need for using data that has been managed according to an enterprise data maangement framework for all AI initiatives. Using the DAMADMBOK © wheel, the presentation will outline a methodology for demonstrating the value of data management as the basis for AI. Learning objectives include Data Foundations: an Enterprise Data Management Program; Aligning AI with Enterprise Data Management; Challenges to a Successful Enterprise Data Management Program; Success Strategies with Enterprise Data Management and AI.
