Abstract :

In present study simple UV- spectrophotometric Simultaneous Equation Method was developed and validated for simultaneous estimation of Simvastatin (SM) and Ezetimibe (EZ) in tablet formulation. Acetonitrile is used as solvent. SM and EZ show the λmax at 236.8 nm and 227.2 nm respectively. A linear relationship was observed for both the drugs individually over the concentration range 5-25 μg/mL (SM) and 5-30 μg/mL (EZ). The method was validated as per ICH guidelines.

Murtadak Sagar N is postgraduate in pharmaceutical chemistry from College of Pharmacy, Faizpur. He had published twelve articles in national as well as international journal.
