Pathologists consider a death as sudden when it occurs due to an unexpected natural cause within a short time period, generally ≤1 hour from the onset of symptoms, in a person without any prior condition that would appear fatal; although WHO keeps the limit as 24 hours. Aortic dissection is one such which is uncommon but potentially fatal disease with catastrophic complications. A high level of suspicion is required for successful diagnosis as presenting symptoms are so variable that dissection may be overlooked. It most commonly presents in the elderly population with a history of chronic hypertension. We present a poster of a case of an elderly male with complaints of dizziness and brought dead to our hospital and in autopsy he had a massive dissecting aneurysm of abdominal aorta.
