Emollients play a very important role in cosmetic products. Even more their chemistry properties are being studied to determine objectively sensorial properties and clarify interactions between the other components of different kind of formulations, as also their action on the skin. The purpose of this presentation is to show the main chemical and physical chemical interactions that have direct impact on the behavior of the emollient in some kinds of formulations and the impact on sensorial properties.
Cinthia Ferreira has a large experience in developing cosmetics from the lab until the factory scale up in different types of cosmetic categories, including also experiences in developing and registering new raw materials. Now is focusing in emollients and understanding objectively their chemistry and physical hole formulaltions
