R esistant hypertension is a significant clinical problem faced by not only the primary care physician, but specialists as well. Nonetheless, the evaluation and management between and amongst these groups can be quite variable. Given that the etiology is many times multifactorial, and that evaluation must include consideration of pseudoresistance and inadequate treatment regimens, the management can be intricate. As such, this presentation will attempt to provide an algorithm for the evaluation and management of resistant hypertension in the context of available data.
