The objective of this study was to explore the knowledge of AV fistula care among hemodialysis patients .A descriptive research study design was used for the study. This study was conducted at Human Organ Transplant Center Bhaktapur Nepal among 50 respondents. The information was collected by face to face interview technique using semi-structured questionnaire .The data was analyzed by using descriptive statistical techniques i.e. mean, frequency, and percentage. The findings were presented in the form of relevant tables, graphical chart and line diagrams. Majority of the respondent (74%) had adequate knowledge whereas 24% of respondents hade moderate knowledge regarding care of AV fistula. Most of the respondents lacked knowledge on protecting fistula arm from cold environment. This study concludes that there is a need of educational programme for the patients� attending hemodialysis unit to improve their level of knowledge and prevent complications.
