Abstract :

While the healthcare market is continuously facing changes in its landscape, where reimbursement challenges for laboratory services and positive patient outcomes are highly expected, healthcare leaders still canā??t decide easily insourcing their laboratory department management or outsource it to a third party. Although outsourcing appears to have increased in recent years, it still represents a relatively small piece of the overall hospital lab market. The aim of this presentation is to shed the light on the key factors that should be considered by healthcare leaders deciding whether or not to outsource their lab management, key factors include their facility location, market competition, authoritiesā?? regulations, reimbursement and laboratory expertise accessibility.
