In this Paper we discuss the importance of Lithuanian Folk Medicine, about the use of plants for the people of the Balticregion, about diagnosing illnesses, about use plants, magical words, material, animals someof part for illnesses. The important question about role of nature, role of animal in the folk medicine. They needed to treat diseases of the due time designated. Information about illnesses, treatment and healing is given about before now and currently time.In Lithuanian folk traditions, healing was the duty and right of family elders or the youngest. All healing information was handed down orally from generation to generation.
Daiva Seskauskaite has completed her PhD in Ethnology from the Vytautas Magnus University Kaunas and postdoctoral studies from Stanford University School of Medicine. She is the Lector and Scholar of Kaunas Forestry and Environmental Engineering University of Applied Sciences (KFEEUAS). She has published more than 35 papers in reputed journals and has been serving as an editorial board member of repute.
