In their long paths from the brachial plexus to phalanges, the peripheral nerves are frequently subjected to compression at certain potential areas and injuries at some superficial locations, such as the wrist region and the forearm distally, in what we call 'low peripheral nerve injuries'. Resulting in functionally inconvenient and esthetically unappealing shapes. The developed deformities are related to a number of multi-variables, including injury factors, treatment factors, and patient-related factors, the patterns of which are linked to a fixed factor, the tension imbalance. This talk will examine the relationship between hand deformities caused by peripheral nerve injury and tension imbalances crossing the hand skeleton. We will also present a concise overview of available management and our yearning for more human achievements in light of accumulating experience and knowledge.
