Abstract :

Background: Nursing education consists of the theoretical and practical training provided to nurses with the purpose to prepare them for their duties as nursing care professionals, but nursing education not exclude for nurses only, it spread the theory, awareness and skills to all community members regardless of age, education level, carriers, position, etc. Objective: Community health nursing is crucial, particularly at present time because it augment the health status of individuals, families, groups and the community through direct approach with them. Today community participation and involvement is getting a due consideration before the occurrence of illnesses as life-style changes to continue to play a significant role in morbidity and mortality rate. Illnesses include chronic illnesses, road traffic accident, life threatening situations, etc. Methods: Community health education focus on preventing health issues from sweeping through a community. In order to do this, these nurses will often need to circulate through the community in question and interact directly with community members. Prevention methods may include handing out informational fliers on certain health issues in the community or spreading the word about common practices to avoid and prevent certain health issues. In some cases, a community health nurse may even distribute health related items or medications to help prevent certain health problems. Also organize programs geared toward preventing community-wide health issues. This often involves educating community members on risk factors by teaching classes or speaking at local facilities, including schools and community centers. Results: The result show that increasing the awareness of community health is essential for public health, governmental strategic plans and maintain the physical and mental individualâ??s health o reach their objectives, which reflect on minimizing hospital admission, preventing communicable diseases and saving more lives. Conclusion: Community health education is essential for members, family and society, which minimizing the potential of hospitalization and death.
