Keynote: Oral Health Case Re
Introduction: Diagnosis of oral ulcerative lesions might be quite challenging. Oral ulceration is a common complaint of patients referred to the university and is sometimes a marker of systemic disease. Indeed, a spectrum of disorders can give rise to oral mucosal ulcers ranging from minor local trauma to significant local disease such as malignancy or systemic illness. Several predisposing factors have been suggested and oral ulcers can be a feature of various disorders including inflammatory bowel disease. The nature, site, duration and frequency of oral ulcers are determined by the underlying systemic condition. In this present article reviews aspects of the etiology, diagnosis and new methods for management of common ulcerative disorders of the oral mucosa.
Elham Sadat Afraz has completed his doctorate in dentistry at the age of 24 years from Babol University of medical sciences and postdoctoral studies from Shahid Beheshti University of medical sciences. She is the assistant professor of Semnan university of medical sciences. She has published 5 papers in reputed journals and 5 book for iranian dental students. She has been serving as an editorial board member of Global Research,Education & Event Network (GREEN).
