H K is an old female patient of Caucasian origin, with a chief complaint saying her lower jaw is sticking out and she is feeling shy to smile. Clinically she is presented with late mixed dentition, class III malocclusion on skeletal III base, reverse over jet of 7 mm, narrow crowded upper arch, open bite (5 mm), bilateral posterior cross bite, retroclined lower anterior teeth and upper midline shifted 3 mm to the right in relation to the facial midline and gingival recession in relation to lower incisors increased nasolabial angle, upper lip far behind E plane, incompetent lips and CVMi 3-4. Radiographs: Lateral cephalometric radiograph confirms the skeletal relationship, OPT shows the presence of all permanent teeth with the 3rd molar in their various stages of development. Treatment Plan: Phase I: Rapid palatal expansion plus face mask. Phase II: Comprehensive Orthodontic treatment by means of straight wire mechanics, Roth prescription with 0.022â? slot. Retention: Bonded retainers upper and lower canine to canine plus vacuum Formed retainers to be worn night time only.
