Abstract :

Introduction: Recently, mammaly prosthesis for the cosmetic purposes or breast reconstruction after breast cancer tends to increase. However, a variety of complications from earlier period due to mammaly prosthesis has also been reported. But there are few reports of mammaly prosthesis complications after a lapse of more than 10 years after operation.

Material and method: This time, I have experienced the 5 patients who were operated after a long period (average 22.6 years), and were also required the extraction of mammaly prosthesis.

Results: All of 5 patients have been going smoothly without complications and are satisfied with their results.

Discussion : In addition to mammaly augmentation for cosmetic purposes, mammaly prosthesis after breast cancer resection is became insurance adaptation in Japan. Mammaly augmentation by mammaly prosthesis can be considered to increase in the future. I report the task and countermeasure of mammaly prosthesis, added to the discussion

Shintaro Asai has a passion for plastic surgery and aesthetic surgery, graduated Nagoya University school of Medicine in 1990. He has experienced in research, evaluation, teaching and administration both in hospital and education institutions for many years, especially interested in the research of manmmaly reconstraction.
